Dominik Panzio - Budapest

Low cost with breakfast. Free wifi (only at available at the lobby). A very nice lady at the reception was very helpful.

Male staffs at the reception looked a bit unfriendly sometimes. No lift (room at the highest floor).

A tremendously popular popular among local business tourists. It seems to be remodelled from an old students domitory but everything needed is equipped. Best for budget-minded young travellers.

Although a basic hotel, it is open all night, the staff are very helpful, its price in December was outstanding value, I always stay here. It has free internet access. Its location is very good for my needs half way between Keleti station and Zuglo station (10 mins walk for trains to Airport)

Easy to find from city centre although a bit of a walk. I slept well, but in quite a hard bed. The shower was excellent. The breakfasts were good. A very helpful girl at reception one morning, telling me the numbers of the buses, and number of stops, to get to specific destinations in the city. Overall, very good value for what I paid.

No complaints, considering how cheap it was!

I know this is not their fault but the weather is burning, so when I was told there was no air-condition in the room, and even the fan needed rents, I was a bit disappointed.

Personnel with common sense very embarrased by the owners lack of interest in fixing relationship with providers of services: internet and cleaning staff.

Yes, router was down and internet too every day for one week, nobody could explain why no measures were taken! Staff was nice but obviously tired to fight with a lack of interest from owners!

First up, it's in a good location in terms of the main train station, even walking at night, it was an easy 8-10minute easy to navigate trip. Likewise, abit further past the train station and you have Budapest's largest shopping mall, so you're set with food and shopping outlets. The price that I paid was excellent, so great for the budget. The front and reception areas were nice and clean, free wifi (but not in rooms) and a number of comfy couches were provided (with coffee and drink facilities) for you to make use of that service. We had a double and it was of a very good size with a window. The staff were good, didn't go out of their way, but certainly not a pack of a grumps. A pretty ok area in my opinion and great if you don't mind roughing it a little tiny bit.

The room, while a great size, was really basic. The bedding was somewhat uncomfortable, just a thinnish foam matress, the pillows were ok, but a tad chunky. The sheets didn't fit the bed at all, neither did the blanket we were given. Still, they kept us warm. Another thing, there is no aircon or fan, so thankfully there was a good size window that kept the temperature comfortable. On our first morning we got no service of the room, rubbish left in the bin and no towel change. Informed reception and they were very helpful in rectifying this. The following mornings service included emptying of bin, but no new towels. The towels themselves are tiny and laughable, really, it will hurt your back to try and dry certain parts of your person. haha. There are plenty of bathroom/toilet facilities on each floor, not the cleanest, but not disgusting. Again, often this will come down to getting good floormates at the time.

As we always stay at Dominik Panzio when we travel to Budapest the thing we like the most is location close to Keleti train station, Heroes Square and Petöfi Hall. Also, the place is clean, quite and nice.

What we didn't like has nothing to do with Dominik Panzio but we noticed on night Saturday to Sunday the constant police sirens which, honestly, caused unpleasant feeling so we decided not to go to regular sightseeing as we get impression there is some kind of revolution in town. The hotel we stayed at was safe enough to take nice rest and read some book.

i've liked location-it's easy to come into center or even easier to citypark. Staff- they are very helpfull, ready to help you anytime if you need anything. also free use of internet in lobby is usefull. Prijazno osebje,odlična lokacija kako hitro priti do mesta oz. do mestnega parka. Poleg tega še brezplačna uporaba interneta v recepciji- super!

i've missed a restaurant or a bar which would be open all day long:)
